International Space Apps Challenge – Open Applications

On october 5 and 6, 2024 NASA and a global group of 15 space agencies invite creators, builders, artists, coders, entrepreneurs, designers and storytellers to take part in the International NASA Space Apps 2024 Challenge. Using free and open data from NASA and space agency partners, NASA Space Apps teams will develop projects to address the challenges we face on Earth and in space over the course of 2 days.

Registration to take part in the Tangier event is now open, here’s the registration link and the link to a video that explains how you can register, choose the local event, form a team and choose a challenge from the 20 designed by NASA.

In collaboration with NASA Heliophysics and as part of the Helio Big Year celebration, the theme of the Space Apps 2024 Challenge is “The Sun touches everything”. This theme highlights the Sun’s vast influence on every aspect of our environment. Read our blog post to explore how the Sun’s presence reaches every community in the world, and how its influence reflects the global NASA Space Apps community.

Space agency partners for the Space Apps 2024 Challenge include : Australian Space Agency, Brazilian Space Agency, Canadian Space Agency, Saudi Arabian Communications, Space and Technology Commission, European Space Agency, Indian Space Research Organization, Italian Space Agency, the Japanese Aerospace Exploration Agency, the Mexican Space Agency, Argentina’s National Commission for Space Activities, Bahrain’s National Space Science Agency, the Paraguayan Space Agency, South Africa’s National Space Agency, the Spanish Space Agency and the Turkish Space Agency.
